A brief history on Vint Cerf
June 23, 1943 - Born in New Haven, Connecticut.
1970 - Graduated with M.S. degree.
1972 - Graduated with PhD, in field of computation and engeneering.
1972 - Cerf begins at Standford University as an assistant professor.
1976 - Cerf finishes his time at Standford as assistant professor.
1976 - Cerf begins work with DARPA, developing technologies.
1982 - Cerf Leaves DARPA.
1982 - Cerf begins his position as vice president of MCI Digital Information services. Here he lead research and engeneered the first commercial email service on the internet.
1986 - Cerf leaves MCI Digital Information Services. He begins a new job at the Corporation of National Research Initatives as vice president. Here he works on developing gigabit speed networks, knowledge robots and digital libraries.
1992 - Cerf and others create the internet society (ISOC). This is to provide eduaction, policy and standards related to the internet.
1994 - Cerf rejoined the MCI as vice president of technology strategy. Here he helped guide corperate strategy from a technical perspective.
1997 - Cerf joins the Board of Trustees of Gallaudet University. This is a university for the hard at hearing, which Cerf strugged from himself.
2002 - Cerf begins as a memeber of the Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov's IT advisory council.
2000 - Cerf begins his role as the chairman of the board of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
2005 - Cerf begins his position as Vice President at Google and Chief Internet evangelist. He continues this position to present day. Here he has predicted on how technology will change and effect the future. He also has been known for his work on IPv6, and the transformation of the telivision industry and it's delivery model.
2006 - Cerf testifies before the US Senate hearing on Net-Neutrality. Here in his new role he spoke on behalf of Google.
2007 - Cerf leaves the board of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
2010 - Since 2010, Cerf has been the Commissioner for the Broadband Commission for Digital Development. This is a UN body with the aim to make broadband internet technologies more widely avalible for everyone.
2012 - Cerf leaves the role as a member of the IT advisory council for Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov.

Vint took a big part in the Mac OS X utility called 'liquid'
